Role Summary

Phlebotomist responsible for ensuring donor safety and product purity during plasma collection, monitoring donors for equipment issues, reactions, or unexpected events, and taking appropriate actions as needed. Interpret health history and vital signs in relation to company procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Set up automated collection instruments and monitor donors throughout the collection process.
  • Disconnect donors from automated instruments and manage Level 1 reactions.
  • Ensure product integrity of the plasma unit and associated samples; disposition products and collect appropriate samples while ensuring proper freezing and storage per ADMA procedures.
  • Stage units for shipment and samples for testing; physically arrange samples and cases in freezer for organization.
  • Represent the organization professionally and courteously, interact with donors, and collaborate with coworkers with teamwork, respect, and courtesy.
  • Take initiative to elevate work-related skills toward advancement to Advanced Phlebotomist; cross-train and qualify for plasma processing and donor screener functions as standard expectations.

Qualifications

  • Phlebotomist qualification with ongoing development toward Advanced Phlebotomist position.
  • Experience or ability to cross-train for plasma processing and donor screener functions.
