      Role Summary
 Phlebotomist responsible for ensuring donor safety and product purity during plasma collection. Monitors donors for equipment errors, reactions, and unexpected events, interpreting health history and vital signs to determine eligibility and appropriate actions. Works to maintain product integrity, properly label, store, and stage samples and units, while providing professional donor service and collaboration with team.
 
 Responsibilities
 
  - Identify donors in accordance with SOPs
 
  - Greet donors in a courteous and professional manner
 
  - Set up and ready the collection device
 
  - Perform arm scrub to ensure donor safety and product purity
 
  - Verify label sets are printed clearly and correctly aligned
 
  - Label collection bottles as defined in SOPs
 
  - Collect and label required samples at the donor bedside
 
  - Inspect materials for breaks, kinks, contamination, or particles in anticoagulant or saline
 
  - Perform quality control of area equipment
 
  - Operate automated collection equipment per SOPs and manufacturer instructions
 
 
 
 Qualifications
 
  - Ability to understand and interpret government regulations and customer specifications
 
  - Able to work in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment
 
  - Computer proficiency with intermediate skills in office programs
 
 
 
 Experience
 
  - Physically arranges cases and samples in the freezer for organized retrieval
 
  - Perform quality control of equipment used in processing and packing areas
 
  - Obtain backup samples as required for laboratory or customers
 
  - Maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor, and center information
 
  - Assist with administrative duties to support Donor Center initiatives
 
  - Attend scheduled staff training and meetings
 
  - Additional duties as needed by management
 
  - Monitor donors for signs of reaction before, during, and after plasmapheresis
 
  - Document collection issues accurately in the center system or manually if required
 
  - Disconnect donor from equipment and ensure donor is in good condition before release
 
  - Complete all documentation requirements accurately for the machine and donation software
 
  - Report unsafe conditions to supervisor
 
 
 
 Preferred Experience
 
  - Previous experience as a phlebotomist in a blood or plasma collection center
 
  - Minimum of 12 months in the health field or an equivalent combination of experience and education
 
 
 
 Compliance Requirements
 
  - Adhere to all cGMPs, ADMA SOPs, and applicable regulations
 
  - Annual GMP training
 
  - Maintain organized, clean work environment; clean spills and floors as required
 
  - Ensure sufficient supplies are available
 
  - Disinfect beds between donors
 
  - Educate donors on self-administered questionnaire and assist as needed
 
  - Perform donor arm checks
 
  - Record donor vital signs and weight in the center system
 
  - Determine donor suitability by reviewing questionnaire responses
 
  - Defer donors as appropriate
 
  - Explain deferrals and timeframes to donors
