Phlebotomist

Role: Phlebotomist responsible for blood collection and specimen processing at Clay County Hospital, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient service. Responsibilities: perform venipuncture and capillary draws across all age groups, collect various specimens (drug screens, paternity, alcohol tests), accurately enter patient data, process billing, prepare samples for testing, maintain logs, and provide excellent customer service. Also includes administrative duties and potential travel to additional sites. Requirements: high school diploma or equivalent; 3+ months of phlebotomy experience; reliable transportation; ability to pass a color blindness test; flexibility for overtime. Preferred qualifications: certification or training from an accredited agency; 6+ months hospital setting experience; strong communication skills; customer service track record.
