Phlebotomist

Role: Plasma collection technician responsible for donor venipuncture, pheresis procedures, and monitoring to ensure donor safety and product quality. Responsibilities include donor setup, evaluation of vein performance, education of donors regarding plasma products, equipment calibration, troubleshooting, and documentation of procedures and incidents. Ensures adherence to SOPs, FDA guidelines, and safety protocols, maintaining a clean work environment and efficient donor flow. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; at least 6 months' experience as a phlebotomist or in a medical/healthcare setting; internal CSL employees require successful completion of CSL Plasma DST training. Skills include manual dexterity, ability to perform tasks in a fast-paced environment, and handling hazardous chemicals and blood-borne pathogens with PPE. Preferred: bilingual skills and cross-training. High-Value: Blood/plasma donation, pheresis procedures, donor safety, equipment troubleshooting, compliance with FDA and OSHA standards. Work setup involves physical activity and extended hours; overtime may be required.
