Role Summary
Phlebotomist position focused on ensuring donor safety and product purity during plasma collection, monitoring donors throughout the process, and handling samples and storage in accordance with procedures.
Responsibilities
- Identifies donors in accordance with SOPs.
- Greets donors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Sets up and readies the collection device appropriately.
- Performs arm scrub correctly to ensure donor safety and product purity.
- Verifies labels are printed clearly and correctly aligned.
- Labels collection bottles as defined in SOPs.
- Collects and labels required samples at the donor bedside.
- Inspects materials for integrity and contamination; ensures quality control of area equipment.
- Operates automated collection equipment in accordance with SOPs and manufacturer instructions.
Qualifications
- Ability to understand and interpret government regulations and customer specifications (required).
- Able to work in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment (required).
- Computer proficient with intermediate skills in office programs (required).
- Experience arranging cases and samples in the freezer and performing quality control of equipment (preferred).
- Previous phlebotomy in blood/plasma collection center experience (preferred).
- Minimum of 12 months in health field or equivalent experience/education (preferred).

Additional Requirements
- Compliance with cGMPs and ADMA SOPs; annual GMP training
- Maintains organized, clean work environment and appropriate supply levels
- Disinfects work area between donors; ensures proper storage and documentation
- Assists with administrative duties to support Donor Center initiatives as assigned
- Monitors donors for reactions before, during, and after plasmapheresis
- Accurately documents collection issues and ensures donor suitability per questionnaire
