Phlebotomist

Role: Plasma donor phlebotomist responsible for performing venipuncture, monitoring pheresis procedures, and ensuring donor safety and product quality. Responsibilities: execute SOP-compliant plasma collection, evaluate vein performance, educate donors, manage equipment calibrations, troubleshoot issues, record donor data, and maintain a safe, organized work environment. Qualifications: high school diploma or equivalent; external candidates require at least 6 months’ experience as a phlebotomist, ideally 1+ year; 12 months in healthcare setting preferred. High-Value: direct involvement in plasma pheresis processes, adherence to FDA guidelines, equipment troubleshooting, donor safety, and data recording. Work setup: physical environment demanding standing, walking, lifting, and PPE use; extended hours and overtime may be required; bilingual skills may be advantageous.
