Role Summary
Phlebotomist at ADMA Biologics. Responsible for ensuring donor safety and product purity during plasma collection, monitoring donors through the collection process, and managing samples and unit storage in accordance with ADMA procedures. Role involves setup of automated collection instruments, handling donor interactions professionally, and progressing toward advanced phlebotomist qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Identify donors in accordance with SOPs.
- Greet donor in a courteous and professional manner.
- Set up and readied the collection device appropriately.
- Perform arm scrub to ensure donor safety and product purity.
- Verify labels are printed clearly and correctly aligned.
- Label the collection bottle as defined in ADMA SOPs.
- Collect and label required samples at the donor bedside.
- Inspect soft goods for breaks, kinks, contamination, or particles in anticoagulant or saline.
- Perform quality control of area equipment.
- Operate automated collection equipment per ADMA SOPs and manufacturer instructions.
- Disconnection of donor from equipment and ensure donor is in good condition before release.
- Ensure product is frozen and stored according to procedures; stage units for shipment and samples for testing.
- Physically arrange samples and cases in freezer for organization.
- Interact professionally with donors; maintain teamwork, respect, and courtesy with coworkers.
- Aim to elevate skills with goal of Advanced Phlebotomist position; cross-train for plasma processing and donor screener functions.
Qualifications
- Ability to understand and interpret government regulations and customer specifications.
- Able to work in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
- Computer proficiency with intermediate skills in office programs.
- Preferred: previous phlebotomy experience in a blood or plasma collection center; minimum 12 months in the health field or equivalent combination of experience and education.

- Compliance with cGMPs, ADMA SOPs, and applicable regulations.
- Annual GMP training; maintain organized and clean work environment.
- Disinfects beds between donors; ensures adequate supply availability.
- Performs donor arm checks and records vital signs and weight accurately.
- Determines donor suitability and deferral criteria; explains deferrals to donors.
- May perform administrative duties to support Donor Center initiatives.
