ROLE SUMMARY
- Hands-on technical leader designing, building, and scaling agentic and generative AI solutions for Pharmaceutical Sciences; translate ideas into production-ready, responsible AI systems.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Agentic & Generative AI Architecture
- Design and implement agentic AI for multi-step reasoning, tool use, and autonomous task execution.
- Architect GenAI solutions (RAG pipelines, embedding strategies, orchestration, evaluation frameworks).
- Delivery & Technical Execution
- Lead PoCs/pilots and scale successful solutions into production.
- Create reusable architectural patterns, reference implementations, and standards.
- Ensure reliability, observability, performance, and cost effectiveness.
- Integration & Enablement
- Integrate AI solutions with existing platforms, data sources, and workflows.
- Partner with science/product leads on technical designs and delivery milestones.
- Mentor developers and raise GenAI/agentic maturity.
- Responsible AI Implementation
- Embed governance, security, evaluation, and monitoring into design/deployment.
- Support sustainable lifecycle/maintenance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in CS/Software Eng/AI-ML (or equivalent) with 6+ yrs (BS) / 5+ yrs (MS) / 1+ yr (PhD) relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience building production software and applied AI.
- Deep GenAI, RAG, and agentic workflow design.
- Strong programming (e.g., Python) and modern AI engineering practices.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Regulated/process-heavy environment experience.
- Track record delivering reusable platforms/accelerators/reference architectures.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical partners.

NON-STANDARD REQUIREMENTS
- Globally distributed team; occasional meetings outside local hours; limited travel (a few times/year). Hybrid (on-site ~2.5 days/week).

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS (if applicable)
- Base salary: $139,100–$231,900; bonus target 17.5%; eligible long-term incentive; benefits include 401(k) match, retirement contributions, paid leave, and medical/dental/vision.
