Role Summary

Pharmacy Technician I in a full-time, office/clinic-based role in Madison, WI. You will assist in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, providing practical pharmacy support while gaining exposure to diverse clinical research protocols and study types. The position involves working with leading pharmaceutical and biotech companies during a vital stage of clinical development, contributing to safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics assessments of new drugs.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain contact with organizations that operate a supply function to pharmacy.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and GMP/GCP.
  • Understand allocated protocols regarding API/IMP handling.
  • Attend study meetings as appropriate.
  • Assist the Pharmacist/Study Lead with Sponsor interaction.
  • May be cross trained in study operations tasks.
  • Assist with receipt, storage, packaging, disposition, and retention of API and IMP.
  • Assist with maintenance and control of complete records for API/IMP.
  • Assist with dose preparation as appropriate.
  • Assist with manufacturing/assembly/dispensing instructions and label generation.
  • Ensure continued supply of stock items.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy.
  • All other duties as needed or assigned.

Qualifications

  • Required: Active Pharmacy Technician registration in Wisconsin.
  • Preferred: Pharmacy Technician Certification; 1–2 years pharmaceutical experience; direct hospital pharmacy technician experience and sterile preparation strongly preferred.
  • Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements.
