Job Summary
The Pharmacy Sales Manager is responsible for building, coaching, and leading a high-performing Pharmacy Sales Representative (PSR) team. This is an inside sales management, remote role covering an assigned geography to attract, grow, and maintain a customer base, including following up on leads interested in the ImprimisRx portfolio. The role promotes targeted programs to develop new business and expand/retain existing business to increase profitable revenue.
Core Responsibilities
- Identify, recruit, coach, and retain top talent for the PSR team
- Align and implement the inside sales strategy with the National Sales Director of Compounding
- Lead the PSR team to grow sales through account development, coaching, management, and mentoring
- Work with the VP of Sales to schedule and lead team meetings
- Communicate early and often with the National Sales Manager of ImprimisRx
- Proactively manage customer-facing activity levels; take corrective action as needed
- Perform monthly PSR performance reviews vs. goals and customer activity
- Work closely with the field sales team, and new/existing customers
- Initiate proactive outbound calls to grow sales revenue
- Work in the assigned geographic territory, as necessary
- Develop relationships with key physicians in the ophthalmic market
- Use multiple communication methods (email, phone, virtual meetings, and occasional in-person visits)
- Conduct research and planning to set goals and anticipate customer needs
- Identify new prospects and educate them on ophthalmic portfolios
- Progress and convert open opportunities in the assigned territory
- Generate and analyze reports to identify customer trends
- Access order and inventory information to assist with availability
- Set up and conduct virtual meetings to convert new business
- Participate in detailed and accurate sales forecasting
- Actively participate as a key member of the Commercial team
- Enter and maintain accurate CRM data
- Proficient in Excel and system reporting; manage data
- Create and update Product Supply Agreements as needed
- Manage PSR business expenses and Paid-Time-Off
Qualifications & Requirements
- 5+ years of Pharmacy or Inside Sales Management experience (ophthalmic market preferred)
- Bachelorβs Degree
- Experience executing targeted business plans and goals for team and self
- Team leader with a positive, can-do attitude
- Strong organization and project management skills
- Strong verbal/written communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and exercise sound judgment with ethical standards
- Collaborative mindset to achieve goals, customer satisfaction, and revenue
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in CRMs and Microsoft Office
- Ability to travel up to 5% (including overnight stays)
