Job Description
- Conceive and execute statistical and mathematical models to achieve projects, Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics goals.
- Propose PK/PD modeling and simulation ideas and implement.
- Investigate, identify, develop, and optimize methods and techniques in PK/PD modeling.
- Lead pharmacometric efforts; critically evaluate Pharmacometric/PK/PD/Clinical Pharmacology/regulatory advances and integrate into Clinical Pharmacology strategy for research or development programs.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to clinical development by supporting Phase 1-4 studies with data analysis, modeling and simulation evaluations to guide study design and clinical pharmacology strategy.
- Author regulatory documents (analysis plans, study reports, population PK reports, exposure-response analyses, CTDs, white papers, etc.).
- Conduct data analyses (non-compartmental analyses, modeling/simulation, advanced analytics, literature data analyses).
- Participate in and present at departmental/cross-functional teams (e.g., Clin Pharm meetings, Journal club).
- Collaborate with other Clinical Pharmacology groups to provide a unified clinical pharmacology position to clinical, CMC and regulatory teams.
- Author scientific publications and present at scientific conferences.
Qualifications
- PhD (0 years) or Masterβs (typically 7+ years) or Bachelorβs (typically 10+ years) in a relevant field (data science, mathematics, biostatistics, modeling/simulation, Pharmacometrics, or systems pharmacology).
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interact externally/internally and work in a team.
- Scientific acumen and technical capability.
- Leadership competencies: persistence/resilience, learning from failure, delivering business results, original idea generation, and cross-functional influence.
