General Summary
The Pharmacology Principal Research Associate delivers independent research to evaluate compound effects on ex vivo and/or in vivo disease biology, with advanced technical proficiency in flow cytometry and cell sorting (especially from rodent and large animal ex vivo samples).

Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and interpret in vivo experiments independently.
- Lead and support flow cytometry and cell sorting workflows for ex vivo rodent and large animal samples.
- Perform sample/cell preparation, staining, acquisition, panel optimization, gating analysis, and sorting.
- Prioritize studies based on project impact.
- Conduct basic in vivo procedures: animal handling; dosing via multiple ROAs; perfusion; blood/other fluid collection; tissue dissection/processing.
- Perform ELISA (serum and urine) and other basic analytical assays.
- Conduct appropriate basic statistical analyses.
- Troubleshoot experimental issues and refine protocols.
- Support publications/patent submissions; prepare protocols, study plans, and reports.
- Stay current with relevant literature and present findings internally.

Knowledge and Skills
- Strong expertise in flow cytometry and cell sorting with ex vivo tissues.
- Proficiency designing/interpreting experiments in disease models.
- Hands-on basic in vivo pharmacology techniques.
- Solid understanding of core biological/immunological principles.
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills; reliability in sensitive/high-impact studies.
- Plus: knowledge in muscular dystrophy and/or cystic kidney disease.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a biological science required.
- Typically: Bachelor’s + 5+ years, or Master’s + 2+ years.

Pay Range
- $89,800–$134,800 (eligible for annual bonus and annual equity awards).

Flex/Work Location
- On-Site designated: five days per week on-site (ad hoc flexibility).
