Role Summary

Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist for R&I Primary Care Team – Beverly Hills, CA. The role involves delivering in-depth product and disease state knowledge to healthcare professionals, driving sales performance within the assigned territory, and collaborating with district and regional leadership to execute strategic plans that support on-label prescribing and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop superior product and disease state knowledge and educate healthcare professionals on clinical evidence, indications, and product safety profiles to support on-label prescribing.
• Work independently to drive sales performance and ensure forecasts and budgets are met or exceeded.
• Complete training requirements, including product examinations.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of market, demographics, and managed care information for the assigned territory.
• Collaborate with District Sales Manager and Regional Sales Director to develop local strategies and business plans to increase sales.
• Capitalize on formulary approvals and other opportunities through Strategic Targeting Plans using promotional resources and analytical tools.
• Provide special education to healthcare providers within AstraZeneca’s ethical guidelines.
• Coordinate selling efforts with other Pharmaceutical Sales Specialists to align objectives.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor’s degree
• Required: A driver’s license and safe driving record
• Preferred: Knowledge of the medical, healthcare or pharmacy industry and clinical skills, preferably within Respiratory therapeutic areas
• Preferred: Prior sales experience
• Preferred: Strong organizational and communication skills
