Role Summary
The Pharmaceutical Sales Representative – Diabetes/Endocrinology drives the achievement of commercial objectives in the assigned territory, aligning with corporate goals. Reports to the Regional Business Director and contributes to the development and execution of strategic and tactical territory and account plans to meet and exceed sales goals and business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Deliver on corporate objectives specific to territory.
- With RBD and internal partners, develop, evolve, and execute territory and account level business plans.
- Provide timely recommendations to eliminate or minimize barriers relevant to marketplace trends, opportunities, and threats.
- Leverage internal expertise to maximize field impact.
- Collaborate with Regional Business Directors, Channel/Trade & Market Access Teams, and Sales Representatives to develop territory-specific strategies for patient access to Xeris products.
- Manage territory budget and resource allocations to maximize ROI.
- Create a professional image to external and internal customers, demonstrating commitment to value and patient care.
- Collaborate with peers, marketing, and training personnel to share information and implement territory initiatives/strategies.
- Build and maintain relationships and regular communications with physicians, health care providers, and other stakeholders relevant to Xeris' business.
- Represent Xeris professionally and ethically to external customers (hospitals, IDNs, physicians, local diabetes groups) and internal teams.
- Prioritize ongoing professional development and leverage internal training.
- Navigate complex accounts and effectively communicate with customers using internal resources.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences, Business/Marketing, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in field commercial positions (e.g., sales representative, hospital representative, sales trainer, marketing).
- 5+ years of experience in bioscience commercial positions (e.g., sales representative, hospital representative, sales training, marketing, regional account manager).
- A valid US State-issued driver's license.
- Recent experience in bioscience and/or diabetes is highly desirable.
- Ability to create and adjust a thoughtful business plan to meet organizational goals.
- Proficiency in understanding key data and metrics to improve business performance.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and adapt quickly; asks questions to deepen understanding.

Additional Requirements
- Working conditions may include periodic evening and weekend work; travel will vary by territory and minimally 20%.
- Position requires vehicle travel as necessary.
