Lilly Gastroenterology Specialty Territory Manager (Territory: Richmond, VA GI1)
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for account-based selling to health care providers (HCPs) who prescribe and influence treatment for disease states in the Lilly gastroenterology portfolio (including dedicated gastroenterology practices, infusion centers, and key hospital accounts).
- Build relationships with key customers to drive adoption of new and existing therapies.
- Identify and develop business relationships with state/local advocacy groups, teaching institutions, key influencers, and managed care organizations; serve as a credible expert/resource.
- Territory management: develop strong understanding of territory and reimbursement landscape; use business insights tools to analyze and adapt to business needs.
- Account management: navigate the changing healthcare environment to understand accounts and impact key stakeholders to become a trusted partner.
- Dialogue agility: actively listen and adapt to verbal and non-verbal customer prompts.
- Medical integrity: demonstrate learning agility to understand clinical information/disease state, product portfolio, and therapeutic marketplace; use this information to engage with every member of an office/account.
- Selling skills: promote the entire product portfolio through patient-centered dialogue; utilize Lilly’s selling model to identify appropriate patients prior to and during customer conversations.
- Sales activity: use business analytic resources to meet customer needs and achieve sales goals while following internal policies/procedures and the PhRMA code.
- Partner collaboration: collaborate with field-facing and internal peers to create a coordinated, positive customer experience.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Professional certification or license required if required by a specific state.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Authorized to work in the United States full-time (Lilly will not provide sponsorship for this role).
Additional Skills/Preferences:
- 2+ years of sales experience (pharmaceutical or non-pharmaceutical) after completing an undergraduate degree.
- Other work experience after undergraduate degree, or graduate degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, PharmD).
- Demonstrated business ownership, selling/customer experience, and execution/results.
- Account-based selling experience; ability to identify and engage staff members in accounts.
- Strong background navigating complex integrated health systems.
- Extensive understanding of specialty pharmacy distribution model.
- Experience selling injectable/infusion molecules in complex reimbursement environments.
- Experience working with multiple cross-functional partners.
- Strong learning agility; self-motivated, team-focused, emotionally intelligent, influential.
- Must live within 30 miles of the territory boundary.
Benefits/Compensation (if applicable):
- Anticipated base wage: $87,000 - $159,500.
- Full-time equivalent employees may be eligible for a company bonus (depending on company and individual performance).
