Role Summary

The Lilly Dermatology Specialty Territory Managers are responsible for account-based selling to health care providers who prescribe and influence treatment for the dermatology disease states in Lilly’s portfolio. They build relationships with key dermatology customers and advocate groups, educators, and managed care organizations to drive adoption of therapies. They are expected to be credible experts and resources for accounts, collaborating with internal and external partners to deliver a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Territory Management: develop understanding of territory and reimbursement landscape; analyze data to adapt to business needs.
  • Account Management: navigate healthcare environment to understand accounts and influence key stakeholders; become a trusted partner.
  • Dialogue Agility: actively listen and adapt to customer prompts during interactions.
  • Medical Integrity: learn clinical information, product portfolio, and therapeutic marketplace; engage with all office members.
  • Selling Skills: promote the product portfolio through patient-centered dialogue and use the selling model to identify appropriate patients.
  • Sales Activity: utilize analytics to meet customer needs and achieve sales goals in compliance with policies and PhRMA code.
  • Partner Collaboration: collaborate with field-facing and internal peers to create a coordinated customer experience.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree.
  • Required: Professional certification or license required to perform this position if required by a specific state.
  • Required: Valid US driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Required: Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis (no visa sponsorship).
  • Preferred: Two or more years of sales experience (pharmaceutical or non-pharmaceutical).
  • Preferred: Graduate degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, PharmD) or additional work experience post-undergraduate degree.
  • Preferred: Account-based selling experience; ability to engage staff in accounts; strong navigation of complex integrated health systems.
  • Preferred: Experience with specialty pharmacy distribution; selling injectable/infusion therapies in a complex reimbursement environment; cross-functional collaboration; strong learning agility.
  • Preferred: Must live within 30 miles of the territory boundary.
