Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist - R&I Primary Care (Tallahassee, FL)

Role Summary

Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist for R&I Primary Care Team. You’ll play a pivotal role in channeling scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients’ lives.

Responsibilities

• Develop superior product and disease state knowledge and educate healthcare professionals on clinical evidence, approved indications, and product efficacy/safety profiles to support on-label prescribing.
• Function independently with sales proficiency to drive sales performance and meet or exceed forecasts and budgets.
• Complete training requirements, including product examinations.
• Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of market, demographic, and managed care information for the assigned territory.
• Partner with District Sales Manager and Regional Sales Director to develop local strategy and business plan to increase sales.
• Capitalize on formulary approvals and other opportunities through Strategic Targeting Plans using promotional resources and analytical tools to enhance territory effectiveness.
• Provide special education to healthcare providers within AstraZeneca‚Äôs ethical guidelines.
• Coordinate selling efforts with other Pharmaceutical Sales Specialists.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor‚Äôs degree
• Required: A driver‚Äôs license and safe driving record
• Desirable: Knowledge of medical, healthcare or pharmacy industry; preferably within Respiratory therapeutic areas
• Desirable: Prior sales experience
• Desirable: Strong organizational and communication skills
• Desirable: Demonstrated leadership
