Role Summary

The Territory Manager will be accountable for account-based selling to health care providers who prescribe and influence treatment for the diseases represented in the Lilly portfolio. They will build relationships with key customers across multiple HCP specialties and hospital accounts, serving as a credible expert and resource for medicines and appropriate patient care. They will drive results by applying Lilly’s Selling, Competency, and Account Management models to meet customer needs through strong execution.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes the full portfolio of priority products with multiple HCP specialties.
  • Understands the territory marketplace; evaluates and tailors the territory strategy to grow and own business outcomes.
  • Navigates the healthcare and payer landscape to understand accounts and become trusted partners with key stakeholders.
  • Utilizes business insight tools, data, and analytics to identify trends, priorities, opportunities, and obstacles.
  • Implements and adopts new technologies, including AI tools, to streamline customer interactions.
  • Identifies and advocates for new opportunities to enhance the customer experience.
  • Models a growth mindset to create positive experiences.
  • Embraces and uses the company’s selling, competency, and account management models to elevate performance and drive results.
  • Demonstrates learning agility to understand disease states, marketplace dynamics, clinical trials, and product labels.
  • Promotes the business unit portfolio by planning for and engaging in patient-centered dialogues with customers.
  • Promotes across BU-portfolio and HCP specialties, driving consistent ways of working within the Regional Health Care Market; utilizes the Virtual Medical Hub.
  • Aches targeted sales and execution metrics while adhering to company policies.
  • Owns the customer relationship for product promotion, on-label medical questions, and general market access.
  • Maintains accountability for results and performance across all accounts, from individual HCPs to large health systems.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with internal and external partners to foster trust and collaborative success.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree.
  • Required: Professional certification or license as required by state.
  • Required: Valid US driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Required: Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without sponsorship.
  • Preferred: Residence within 30 miles of the territory boundary.
  • Preferred: Account-based selling experience; ability to identify and engage staff members in accounts.
  • Preferred: Strong learning agility, self-motivation, team focus, and emotional intelligence.
  • Preferred: Bilingual skills aligned with territory and customer needs.
