The Ecosystem Portfolio Specialist I is the primary representative of Novo Nordisk within a specified geographic area, engaging with selected health systems, key academic centers, specialists, primary care providers, and other stakeholders to optimize sales and establish Novo Nordisk as a frontrunner in cardiometabolic care.

Responsibilities:
- Achieve sales targets by promoting Novo Nordisk’s cardiometabolic product portfolio to healthcare providers and influencers involved in purchasing, prescribing, and formulary decisions.
- Assess customer needs and recommend suitable Novo Nordisk products and services in alignment with approved guidelines.
- Account Management: adapt sales/promotion strategies to health system practices and managed care impact; develop annual account plans; build relationships with specialists and decision-makers; overcome resistance to prescribing; represent Novo Nordisk at academic institutions.
- Business Acumen: engage stakeholders; understand health system economics/quality metrics; use data to build and execute a business plan; manage time/resources with limited supervision; utilize discretionary budget.
- Clinical Understanding: maintain knowledge of cardiometabolic disease and clinical studies; identify differences vs competitors; educate stakeholders on approved uses/advantages; participate in training programs.
- Selling Skills: anticipate/respond to objections; drive next-step commitments; contribute at meetings/training; complete monthly reporting; market the product portfolio for appropriate patient profiles; implement/manage programs and projects; collaborate with Ecosystem Manager to leverage trends/marketing materials.

Physical requirement: Valid driver’s license; maintain good standing per company motor vehicle record threshold.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and/or Pharm D required.
- 1+ year experience preferred in Pharmaceutical/Healthcare, Sales, Consulting, Customer Service, or Military.
- Demonstrated ability to drive sales in multiple channels; leadership/decision-making.
- Expert knowledge of cardiometabolic disease state and Novo Nordisk products.
- Intermediate computer skills (Windows Word/Excel); sales data/call reporting software experience preferred.
- Self-starter able to evaluate options with minimal supervision.
