Pharma Field Sales - Cardiometabolic Care Specialist, Hep/GI - Springfield Massachusetts

The Position:
- Consistently achieves goals and maximizes sales by executing local Sales and Marketing strategies to promote Novo Nordisk products to HCPs (e.g., Hep/GI) and key customers.
Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
- Drive sales and outcomes to exceed goals; seek wins
- Share key customer insights/trends and collaborate with colleagues/stakeholders
- Lead team/partner initiatives to drive results across the geography based on HCP influence
- Identify and leverage customer insights to stay ahead of market trends
- Productively challenge and influence target physicians’ patient management with new information/unique insights
- Use understanding of targeted physician customer complexities to maximize performance
- Apply business acumen and analytical skills to advance the business
- Demonstrate product and disease-state fluency
- Create and execute business/tailored account plans to address patient needs and meet sales objectives
- Coordinate with other representatives to leverage provider relationships across HCP settings
- Execute sales strategies based on customer needs, dynamics, trends, and competitors
- Maintain required activity records/reports and timely, accurate call data
- Implement the Novo Nordisk Way selling model (pre-call planning/post-call analysis, uncover needs, provide solutions/core messages, resolve objections, gain commitment)
- For launches, align targeted physicians on need for change, value propositions, and appropriate patients
- Generate advocacy by sharing approved clinical/scientific information
- Evaluate patient/practice needs using a patient-centric approach
- Engage HCPs using practice guidelines/chronic care models/protocols to support diabetes management and placement of NNI products/devices
- Exercise prudent control over samples/company property per policies and legal requirements
- Manage territory discretionary budget and marketing promotional program budget
Physical Requirements:
- Maintain a valid driver’s license; good standing (not exceeding the Novo Nordisk points threshold based on Motor Vehicle Records).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or equivalent degree and/or Pharm D required
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant pharmaceutical, medical, or healthcare experience required
- Demonstrated leadership and decision-making ability
- Ability to navigate PAs in a rapidly developing market
- Health Systems and/or Institutional Account experience preferred
- Clinical approach to selling and engaging customers
- Intermediate computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel); experience with sales data/call reporting software ideal
- Knowledge of gastroenterology and/or hepatology preferred
- Self-starter who can evaluate options and make decisions with minimal supervision
