Role Summary
Payroll & Equity Administrator responsible for coordinating semi-monthly payroll for a US workforce, administering stock plans, and supporting month-end close with the accounting team. Reports to the Sr. Manager, Payroll & Equity and collaborates on projects to improve payroll and equity processes while providing support to employees in these areas. Located in Newport Beach with a hybrid schedule (Monday and Friday remote; TuesdayโThursday onsite).
Responsibilities
- Execute multi-state semi-monthly and off-cycle payroll processes using ADP Workforce Now. Review time sheets, wage computations, and related data to resolve discrepancies.
- Partner with the HR Operations & Benefits teams to ensure the accuracy of employee records, including new programs and changes impacting employee pay.
- Administer equity plans using Morgan Stanley E*Trade, including managing grants, tax compliance, and employee inquiries.
- Process and audit equity activity, including RSU/PSU vesting/releases and stock option exercises. Ensure all transactions are processed timely.
- Participate in the implementation of an ESPP and administer plan transactions.
- Coordinate with third party equity administrator for proper classification and taxation of equity awards for payroll processing and equity account management.
- Proactively resolve equity and payroll related employee inquiries, providing guidance and solutions.
- Partner with and prepare ad hoc reports for in-house counsel and HR on equity-related transactions.
- Perform thorough auditing procedures, generating reports and validations for SOX compliance.
- Participate in process improvement and other department projects.
- Handle sensitive employee data with a high degree of confidentiality and integrity.
- Handle all the above duties by customarily and regularly exercising discretion and independent judgment with performance under only general supervision.

- Office location โ Newport Beach. Hybrid schedule: Monday and Friday remote; Tuesday - Thursday onsite.
Qualifications
- Required: 3+ years of payroll experience, including ADP Workforce Now.
- Required: Experience with stock administration, including RSUs and stock options.
- Required: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Required: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees and internal stakeholders.
- Required: Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to change.
- Preferred: A Certified Equity Professional (CEP) is a plus.
