The Patient Access Liaison (PAL) is a field-based role providing education and reimbursement support to adult and pediatric patients and caregivers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary point of contact for patients/caregivers for disease state, product, and therapy access/administration questions.
- Develop and maintain relationships via in-person and virtual interactions.
- Assess individual needs and create a plan of action to empower advocacy using approved resources.
- Provide individualized education on disease state and product; educate on insurance coverage and obtaining therapy.
- Conduct medication administration education once coverage is established.
- Provide affordability resource information as needed.
- Manage long-term relationships with tailored communication plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams; partner with Patient Advocacy and attend education symposia as needed.
- Partner with Patient Safety/PV and Complaint Management/Quality/Compliance to report AEs and product complaints.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Travel up to 50% (including overnight; some weekend travel).

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in a direct patient support role; ability to explain disease state, product, and access/reimbursement concepts at a consumer level.
- Clinical/Allied Health degree/licensure preferred; 5+ years clinical experience in pediatrics, endocrinology, neurology, ENT, orthopedics, or related.
- Minimum 2 years pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Preferred: experience in orphan/rare disease product launches; educating on injectable product administration; working through reimbursement obstacles.
- Familiarity with HIPAA, FDA requirements, and OIG compliance guidelines.
- Ability to work autonomously, communicate cross-functionally, and adapt to evolving needs.
- Professional, proactive demeanor; excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Annual base salary: $185,000–$190,000. (May also include car/allowance and bonus/commission eligibility.)
