Pathologist

Role: Provide scientific and strategic leadership to integrate AI/ML-enabled digital pathology into Takeda's nonclinical research workflows, supporting target validation, efficacy, and safety assessments. Responsibilities include leading pathology contributions on project teams, overseeing the qualification of digital pathology tools, performing integrative tissue data interpretation, authoring regulatory documents, and representing Takeda in professional forums. Requirements: DVM and Ph.D., board certification (ACVP, ECVP, or JCVP), 10+ years pharma drug development experience, expertise in veterinary pathology, and proficiency with digital pathology platforms and image analysis workflows. Preferred: experience with modalities like oligonucleotides, antibodies, small molecules, and alternative administration routes; demonstrated leadership in digital pathology or translational science; strong decision-making and communication skills. High-value: AI/ML applications in pathology, high-content tissue analysis, translational research, nonclinical safety and efficacy, regulatory document authoring for IND/IB and other filings.
