Role: Pathologist Assistant I supporting pathology operations within biopharma research, primarily assisting in tissue-based studies for molecular analysis. Responsibilities: review pathology reports, macro- and microdissect tumor and normal tissues, assess tumor content, mark H&E slides, perform CISH evaluations, and ensure quality control; organize data, maintain lab procedures, and support regulatory compliance. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in biological or medical laboratory sciences, certified cytotechnologist or medical technologist, or MD (foreign-trained acceptable); 0-1 years experience preferred, with a focus on pathology or molecular tissue analysis. Preferred: advanced degrees (Master's/PhD), 3-5 years relevant experience, and technical pathology expertise. HighValue: supporting molecular pathology, tissue dissection, and gene amplification assessment in a regulated lab setting, with possible exposure to biohazards; requires manual dexterity, visual acuity, and ability to handle chemical fumes. Work setup: may involve periodic travel, some evenings/weekends, and laboratory environment exposure to chemicals and biological materials.
