Patent Drafter

What You’ll Do:

Draft high-quality patent applications in the life sciences domain, with a focus on small molecule therapeutics
Prepare patent specifications using experimental data, technical reports, and inventor inputs
Develop and refine claim sets to ensure strong and defensible IP protection
Analyze patentability, landscape, and whitespace searches to assess invention scope and positioning
Collaborate closely with scientists, inventors, and IP professionals across India and the US
Manage multiple drafting projects simultaneously, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and timely delivery
Contribute to the growth and strength of Enveda’s global patent portfolio

What We’re Looking For:

• M.S. or higher degree in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience drafting patent applications in life sciences, especially small molecule therapeutics
• Strong understanding of chemical structures, including Markush representations
• Proven ability to translate complex scientific data into clear, precise patent language
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across interdisciplinary teams

Nice to Have:

• Experience in drug discovery or organic synthesis research
• Ability to independently manage a patent drafting docket
• Familiarity working with global IP teams (US/India)
• Patent Agent registration
