General Summary:
The Pain Territory Business Manager (TBM) is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with Health Care Professionals (HCPs) to promote the safe and effective use of JOURNAVX in acute pain. The TBM reports into a Regional Field Leader and serves as a field representative in the community setting, working closely with Pain Territory Account Managers (PTAMs) who drive hospital/health system volume and access and target physicians within hospital networks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Establish meaningful relationships with assigned physicians to build awareness and drive adoption of JOURNAVX.
- Develop and maintain expertise on product clinical attributes and patient unmet need; educate HCPs on appropriate patient use.
- Understand assigned physicians, territory/market dynamics, stakeholder mapping, key decision maker relationships, patient protocols, referral networks, access, and drivers/barriers.
- Implement and maintain strategic territory business plans to identify opportunities and patient-focused solutions, supporting PTAM-led hospital engagement.
- Drive sales performance; ensure forecasts and assigned budgets meet/exceed territory expectations.
- Collaborate compliantly with PTAMs and HQ teams (e.g., field medical, HEOR, IDN, payer) to create aligned plans and share best practices.
- Role model ethics and integrity to support compliance and earn stakeholder trust.

Required Experience/Skills:
- 5+ years in biotech sales (product launch highly desired); acute pain product launch and engaging diverse physicians highly desired.
- Experience engaging retail pharmacies to ensure stocking and managed care pull-through.
- Experience pulling through inpatient formularies, protocols, pathways, and order sets.
- Ability to understand geography-specific patient treatment nuances (care coordination, referral patterns, influence networks).
- Strong IT proficiency, including Veeva CRM.
- Experience in a highly matrixed environment.
- Bachelor’s degree.

Other Requirements:
- Complete required trainings and screenings (e.g., background screens, drug testing, vaccinations) as needed.
- Must live/work within the territory (or near a major airport as required).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Travel up to 80% (car/air); work after hours as needed; 10–30% overnight travel may be required.
