Packaging Technology Specialist (MSAT Packaging)

Responsibilities:
- Lead development and introduction of first-intent primary packaging for NPIs at external manufacturing sites.
- Provide packaging technology support to meet NPI milestones and launch dates.
- Define primary/secondary/tertiary/distribution pack designs (briefs, evaluate options; ensure commercial, regulatory, and manufacturing suitability).
- Partner with suppliers on components/materials, printing/conversion methods, cost and sustainability.
- Define/manage functional packaging testing (component interaction, child resistance, distribution performance, metrology) and review technical data/specs.
- Support packaging validation and production: equipment selection, machine trials, process qualification, control strategies.
- Assess/qualify components, suppliers, and change proposals; support supplier evaluations/lifecycle changes.
- Manage bulk packaging shipping lane qualifications/assessments.
- Drive packaging improvements to reduce complexity, cost, and waste while maintaining quality/compliance.
- Provide technical consultation for non-first intent lifecycle changes.

Qualifications (Required):
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years in pharmaceutical packaging development/equipment/operations across multiple dose forms.
- Sterile packaging field experience and/or shipping lane qualifications.
- Cold chain experience.
- Packaging lifecycle management experience.

Preferred:
- Master’s/postgraduate diploma in Packaging Technology (pharma focus).
- NPI project and external site transfer experience.
- Lean/5S; eBR/MES knowledge.
- Child resistance regulatory experience; sterile packaging/sterility assurance concepts.
- Technical knowledge of components/materials/conversion/printing; packaging design/testing/spec development.
- QA/validation/regulatory knowledge (ICH, change control, packaging compliance).
- Strong global matrix and communication skills.

Compensation/Benefits (US): Base salary $111,375–$185,625; annual bonus; eligible for share-based long-term incentive; health insurance, retirement, paid holidays/vacation, and paid caregiver/parental and medical leave.
