Role Summary
Packaging Operator - Nights at Perrigo Nutritionals in Georgia, VT. Train for Packaging Department operations on night shifts; involve manufacturing operations, quality checks, documentation, cleaning and sanitation, and adherence to GMPs and SOPs. Training provided; shift details and retention bonus offered.
Responsibilities
- Exhibits the ability to control and monitor all positions/roles within the Packaging Department, including Manufacturing Operation, Frequent Quality Checks, Documentation, Cleaning of Equipment and Packaging areas, General Housekeeping, Rework Assistance, and other duties as assigned.
- Perform cleaning and sanitation duties within the Packaging Department, including completing daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning checklists; trained on chemical handling and use; normal dry cleans; wet washes; assembly/disassembly of equipment; and adherence to GMPs, SOPs, and Work Instructions.
Qualifications
- Required: High School diploma (or GED) is required and will be verified prior to employment start date.
- Required: Ability to read, write, and comprehend English at a level sufficient to follow safety protocols, SOPs/WIs, regulatory signage, and verbal instructions.
- Required: Ability to perform duties in a safe, efficient, and sanitary manner.
- Required: Ability to operate and navigate a computer and various systems/applications.
- Required: Excellent attendance record and work history.
- Preferred: Mechanical aptitude.
- Required: Ability to write legibly for documentation.
- Required: Basic math and reading/comprehension skills.
- Required: Willing and able to wear appropriate PPE to perform job duties per zoning requirements.
Education
- High School diploma or GED
Additional Requirements
- Required: Ability to walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 55 lbs.
- Required: Ability to walk up and down stairs and work at elevated heights and in varying climates (hot and cold).
- Required: Stand for approximately 90% of a 12-hour shift; exposure to noise
