Packaging Operator I (Entry-Level)
Role/Schedule:
- Entry-level role in the packaging department operating packaging equipment safely and efficiently.
- 12-hour rotating schedule: 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM (every other weekend required).
Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
- Perform packaging operations in compliance with cGMP, SOPs, environmental and safety regulations; wear appropriate PPE and follow gowning/safety protocols.
- Dispose of rejected products and packaging components in designated areas per procedures and safety guidelines.
- Inspect and verify bulk product and packaging components before entering the packaging room; ensure the line/room are clean, organized, and prepared.
- Maintain accurate logbook entries before and after each batch.
- Conduct in-process quality control checks during packaging and document results in the Packaging Batch Record.
- Verify accuracy of scales and balances via weight checks; ensure equipment is within calibration before starting.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform other functions as assigned.
- Comply with company policies and standards.
- Flexible to work extended hours and weekends when required.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School or GED (preferred).
- Experience: less than 1 year in Pharmaceutical Packaging/Manufacturing.
- Knowledge: safety, cGMP, and SOP.
Compensation/Benefits (as stated):
- Hourly rate: $18.00–$22.00/hour.
- Short-term incentive (bonus/performance-based award) and long-term incentive (restricted stock units) within first 12 months.
- 401(k) matching contribution.
