Packaging Operator - Days

Day Shift Packaging Operator (Manufacturing)

Responsibilities:
- Control and monitor Packaging Department positions/roles, including:
- Manufacturing operation
- Frequent quality checks
- Documentation
- Cleaning of equipment and packaging areas
- General housekeeping
- Rework assistance
- Other duties as assigned
- Perform cleaning and sanitation duties, including daily/weekly/monthly cleaning checklists
- Trained on chemical handling and use
- Perform normal dry cleans and wet washes
- Assemble/disassemble equipment
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Work Instructions

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma (or GED)
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English to follow safety protocols, SOPs/WIs, regulatory signage, and verbal instructions
- Ability to perform duties safely, efficiently, and in a sanitary manner
- Ability to operate and navigate a computer and various systems/applications
- Excellent attendance record and work history
- Ability to write legibly for documentation
- Basic math and reading/comprehension skills
- Willing and able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) per zoning requirements

Preferred Qualifications:
- Mechanical aptitude

Physical Requirements:
- Walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 55 lbs.
- Walk up/down stairs; work at elevated heights; work in hot/cold climates
- Stand for ~90% of a 12-hour shift
- Exposed to noise
