Job Summary
Blue Point is seeking Packaging Operators (entry-level manufacturing) to operate equipment in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule
- One 2nd shift Packaging Operator: 9AM–7PM Monday–Thursday; 6% shift differential for 10PM–6AM
- Shift hours subject to change; initial training: 7AM–3PM Monday–Friday (day shift)
Responsibilities
- Operate high-speed beverage packaging equipment (fillers, packers, labelers, depalletizers, palletizers); cross-train as needed
- Perform quality checks during production runs
- Perform daily & weekly cleaning in the department
- Handle raw materials, chemicals, packaging, and finished goods
- Spot and remove damaged products/supplies
- Complete production/package/flavor changeovers per schedule
- Do basic troubleshooting and minor repairs; use reaction plans
- Record downtime and machine operations; follow SOPs
- Adhere to safety guidelines; follow HACCP & food safety
- Identify problems and participate in root cause analysis
- Maintain a clean, organized work area; maintain a positive attitude
Qualifications
- High school GED or higher
- Previous manufacturing experience in food and/or beverage preferred
- Passion for craft beer; teamwork-oriented
- Self-directed, able to adapt to changing priorities with minimal supervision
- Mechanical aptitude; comfortable with hand-tools and troubleshooting equipment
- Urgency in responding to production issues; reliable attendance
- May require overtime, nights, weekends, and rotating shifts
- Must be 21+ years old
Physical Requirements
- Stand/walk for shift; stoop/crawl/crouch as needed
- Lift/carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly; push/pull up to 100 lbs frequently; climb ladders/stairs
