Job Description
- Responsible for continuous functioning of manufacturing packaging line systems and equipment within Packaging and Manufacturing departments, including setup of packaging equipment, routine maintenance, repair, minor electrical troubleshooting, and partnering with Engineering to install/commission new packaging lines.
Essential Functions
- Troubleshoot and repair packaging line systems/equipment (vertical form and fill bagging machines, rotary cartoners, weigh scales, tapers, conveyors); partner with Engineering to install/commission new lines; modify existing lines as needed.
- Repair packaging equipment: perform root cause analysis, use technical documentation, assess material requirements, place requisitions, complete repairs, and replace parts.
- Perform preventive maintenance and execute preventative maintenance schedules.
- Document work accurately and timely in equipment logbooks; communicate during shift handoffs (written and verbal).
- Train team members on equipment issues to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications
- Education: High School or GED (Required).
- Experience: 5+ years in packaging equipment or related manufacturing equipment.
Compensation/Benefits (as stated)
- Hourly rate: $25.00β$35.00 per hour.
