Role Summary

The Packaging Lead Operator serves as the operational technical expert for the packaging department, ensuring equipment performance, compliance, and continuous improvement. This role supports day-to-day operations, leads investigations and training, and drives excellence in packaging processes through hands-on leadership and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with and support the Haleon Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure quality and compliance in accordance with established procedures and standards of the Quality System.
  • Review SOPs for the packaging department.
  • Participate in all deviation rapid responses on the floor.
  • Lead deviation and root cause analysis.
  • Operate packaging equipment.
  • Act as Line Leader during absences or as needed.
  • Ensure packaging equipment is running according to daily schedule.
  • Drive changeovers and line clearances.
  • SAP functions-Batch reconciliation, Cycle Count, Material Movements, Confirmation and Inventory control.
  • Lead training as needed for packaging operators/OJTs, SOP, etc.
  • Participate and lead in continuous improvement efforts, 5s initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a HS Diploma or GED is required
  • A Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a production environment, leading a team or project is required.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work and succeed in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift 5-25 lbs. frequently and occasionally lift drums, bags and cases weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Demonstrated good oral and written communication skills.
  • Team oriented and flexible, able to adapt to changing assignments.
  • Highly motivated and self-driven with a desire to continuously improve own skill set. Able to function productively with minimal supervision.
  • Good organizational skills and interest in project management.
  • Ability to operate computer applications to include SAP functions, etc.
  • Highly attentive to detail, ensuring accuracy in documentation and operations.
  • Ability to operate work saver, stand-up, and sit-down fork truck

Education

  • Associateβ€šΓ„Γ΄s Degree or Technical education preferred

Additional Requirements

  • Location: St Louis, MO (not remote)
  • Shift: 8pm-6:30am Mon-Fri
