Origination Associate/ Senior Associate

Role: Origination Associate / Senior Associate at Flagship Pioneering, focused on pioneering new biotech ventures by translating scientific insights into viable companies. Responsibilities: explore emerging biological and technological frontiers, generate and test bold hypotheses, design venture blueprints including technical and market strategies, and contribute to startup creation from inception. Collaborate cross-functionally with scientists, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders to shape new companies, synthesize complex scientific insights, and stay ahead of scientific advances. Qualifications: PhD or equivalent in biology, bioengineering, chemistry, or related fields; 2+ years in research, startups, or environments requiring analytical rigor and creativity. Skills: strong scientific curiosity, rapid learning, excellent communication and synthesis, entrepreneurial mindset, and comfort working in ambiguity.
