Position Summary
- Lead and identify projects for process improvements and support process and cultural improvement initiatives within the Operational Excellence (OpEx) platform.
- Lead multiple projects using Lean, TPM, and Six Sigma tools.
- Provide analytic analysis and support others in problem solving using the DMAIC methodology.
- Drive key business results using the OpEx toolset and make decisions aligned with company policies/SOPs and applicable regulatory guidelines.

Position Responsibilities
- Lead or support cost reduction/avoidance, process stability, and technology transfer projects; develop and execute plans to gain and sustain improvements.
- Support the site with data analysis for the strategy deployment cycle and other initiatives.
- Lead or support capability building in Lean Six Sigma tools; develop OpEx content with guidance.
- Coach and mentor Yellow Belt and Green Belt colleagues (in conjunction with the Zoetis Production System) once qualified.
- Work across the site to capture improvements and build capability within the Charles City team.
- Complete Green Belt projects; deliver annual site savings to meet annual goals.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and others to drive cost and process improvement projects; partner with finance to assign accurate project savings upon completion.
- Deliver assigned cost improvement projects and drive KPIs to meet site goals.
- Prioritize and run multiple projects simultaneously.

Education and Experience / Qualifications
- 4-year STEM degree required.
- BS/BSE in Engineering or Biologics strongly preferred.
- Strong technical/analytical skills and high personal motivation.
- Working knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean, and TPM strongly preferred.

Technical Skills Requirements
- Ability to lead, influence, and motivate colleagues.
- Six Sigma certification preferred; ability to complete Green Belt certification within first 2 years.
- Laboratory and/or manufacturing experience in biological testing/manufacturing preferred.
- Experience in GLP/GMP and biologics regulatory preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact across divisional boundaries.

Physical Position Requirements
- Able to become qualified to enter clean room environments.
