Role Summary

Operator, Packaging (Day Shift) responsible for ensuring a continuous supply of medicines by operating the process, troubleshooting, and collaborating cross-functionally, with a safety-first and quality-first mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership on the manufacturing floor to maintain safety, quality, and productivity and ensure reliable product supply.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and support health, safety, and environmental goals.
  • Act as administrator and technical leader for operations; demonstrate knowledge of procedures, ensure quality system compliance, and train others.
  • Serve as technical lead for troubleshooting and as the primary escalation point for shop-floor issues.
  • Administer technical training and ensure all operators are trained to perform tasks.
  • Operate equipment and perform activities to meet production schedules.
  • Assist in checking execution documentation (Electronic Batch Record, SAP, Cleaning Logs).
  • Drive key departmental objectives including safety improvements, deviation reduction, productivity gains, and training compliance.
  • Support site leadership by delivering area procedures, quality processes, and controls to build a capable site organization.

Qualifications

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
  • Required: Ability to effectively communicate electronically, in writing, and verbally
  • Required: Flexibility to troubleshoot and triage challenges
  • Required: Computer proficiency (desktop software, MS Office)
  • Required: Must pass a vision exam and be free of color blindness
  • Required: Must have 20/20 correctable close vision acuity
  • Preferred: Leadership experience and ability to train/educate team members
  • Preferred: Willingness to travel
  • Preferred: Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMPs)
  • Preferred: Experience in operations/pharmaceutical industry
  • Preferred: Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems and electronic batch release
  • Preferred: Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to wear safety equipment (glasses, shoes, gloves, etc)
  • 12-hour rotating day shift (6am to 6pm on 2-2-3 schedule)
