Operator, Packaging - 2nd Shift

Role Summary

Operator, Packaging - 2nd Shift. The role involves inspecting products and equipment, setting up production equipment, preparing and cleaning manufacturing rooms and equipment, ensuring proper labeling and storage of products, documenting material runs, training new personnel, performing calibration on instruments, and coordinating the work of other operators as a back-up to the Senior Operator.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect the product during operation, observe equipment and process for proper operation, seek maintenance assistance for problems and recommend improvements.
• Assist with the set up and running of Production equipment.
• Prepare and clean manufacturing rooms and equipment for inspection as required and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Ensure all products are properly labeled and stored.
• Document material runs via Batch Production Records, In-Process Sheets, Log Books, and Time Sheets.
• Assist in training new personnel in the manufacturing operation as directed by the supervisor or manager.
• Perform calibration on scales, line meters, coating ovens, micrometers, etc as instructed.
• Coordinate the work of other Operators and acts as a back up to Senior Operator as directed by the supervisor or manager.

Qualifications

• Required: HS diploma.
• Required: Minimum of two years of experience is required. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
