Position Brand Description
Receiving, storage, and shipping of raw materials and packaging components in support of Lilly manufacturing sites (US and OUS customers). Ensure materials are available for weekly production operations and that inventory quantities are accurate. Handle and process materials in the inventory system following GMP processes at all times. Reports to a Leader.
Key Objectives/Deliverables
- Maintain a safe work environment; lead safety initiatives; support all HSE Corporate and Site Goals.
- Execute cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Execute inventory transactions in a timely fashion.
- Set and maintain appropriate inventory levels for the local warehouse.
- Provide key customers raw materials and components on time and in full.
- Monitor and remove slow-moving inventory as needed.
- Ensure manufacturing is never down due to unavailable materials.
- Maintain learning plan at 100% current.
- Follow policies and procedures impacting warehouse activities.
- Maintain a clean and presentable warehouse; support zero items on the Quality backlog.
- Participate in the Warehouse Safety Team; drive safety improvements.
- Report near misses and unsafe work conditions or behaviors.
Minimum Requirements
- Powered Industrial Truck License (or willingness to obtain via training)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Solid understanding of quality and corporate policies
- Understanding of regulatory agencies (FDA, EMEA, OSHA, EPA)
- Demonstrated solid judgment and initiative
- Positive, flexible attitude; willing to work overtime
- Proactive/self-motivated; able to solve business problems
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Ability to pick up/move 40-pound containers
- Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis; no visa/work authorization sponsorship
Additional Preferences
- Materials handling and inventory management system experience
- Warehouse/logistics experience in a GMP environment
Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Additional Information
- 12-hour shift; 3-2-2-3 rotating schedule covering nights/weekends; overtime required.
- Direct interaction with regulatory agencies during site inspections.
- Tasks may involve hazardous/dangerous materials; consider allergen exposure and mobility requirements.
