Role Summary

Distribution Technician role in the Distribution Warehouse responsible for order processing functions such as picking, packing, and shipping pharmaceutical orders. The position rotates through related functions and reports to the Supervisor of Distribution Operations at the Plainfield Distribution Center, Plainfield, Indiana.

Responsibilities

  • Pick and pack customer orders using the warehouse management system via a handheld RF device. Items are scanned by license plate, packing requirements are followed precisely, and weight is checked for accuracy. Orders are consolidated by license plate for shipment, and packing lists and ship labels are printed and included with shipments.
  • Comply with FDA and OSHA requirements.
  • Ensure that all training identified in the individual training plan (ITP) is current and complete.
  • Continuously seek improvements in productivity, compliance, and data accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Required: 1-3 years of warehouse experience

Skills

  • Experience with electronic warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP, Exacta, Worldlink) and RF scanners
  • Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to be cross-trained for multiple assignments
  • Willingness to work overtime with little notice
  • Reliable with good attendance history
  • Strong computer skills; ability to work effectively in a team
  • High productivity and ability to count large quantities accurately; basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Self-starter requiring minimal supervision
  • Experience operating pallet jacks and powered industrial trucks
  • Willingness to work part of the day in a chilled environment (36โ€“46ยฐF)
  • Physical: standing, lifting up to 40 lbs, bending

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Additional Requirements

  • Work Shift: 5 days a week, 8-hour days, Mondayโ€“Friday
  • Physical and environmental: ability to work in a chilled environment and perform standing, lifting, and bending as required
