Role Summary

Operator HSE - Chief Officer at Lilly Fire Department – Indianapolis. Leads training program oversight and policy development within Lilly Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE). Reports to the HSE Senior Manager / Lilly Fire Rescue Chief and ensures compliance, documentation, and accountability in program delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight for implementation, scheduling and delivery of Lilly Fire Rescue training programs.
  • Assess current LFR training curriculums and coordinate continuing education to meet business needs.
  • Coordinate with Lilly L&D partners for program development.
  • Assess and review LFR policies and procedures for continuous improvement; maintain policies to fit business needs.
  • Develop and oversee implementation of LFD EMS quality assurance for run response and reporting; support on-site emergency preparedness and response.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree (or 5 years equivalent work experience).
  • Technical writing skills; project management experience; basic data analysis capability.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills; strong verbal and written communication; strong collaboration skills internal and external to the company; computer and administrative skills.
  • Preferred: Fire and EMS background, understanding of emergency response regulatory requirements; experience in improving or developing a positive safety culture.

Additional Requirements
