Operations Supervisor – Filling (Night Shift)

Responsibilities:
- Lead shift operations for multiple drug product filling lines; develop technical expertise of manufacturing employees.
- Ensure lines are adequately staffed with trained/qualified employees; maintain strict adherence to safety and quality rules and procedures.
- Provide on-site direct line supervision for line leaders and operators on a 12-hour shift rotation schedule.
- Support site leadership by delivering area operational procedures, quality processes, and controls for Parenteral areas.
- Hire/manage 10+ direct reports across 2–3 manufacturing lines.
- Maintain a safe work environment and support all HSE goals.
- Ensure adequate qualified/trained staffing for operators on manufacturing lines.
- Communicate with the area manager on quality, equipment, operational issues, and improvement opportunities.
- Coach, develop, and evaluate operators/technicians.
- Originate/investigate deviations or operational quality issues.
- Collaborate with support functions to reach consensus for unexpected events during manufacturing.
- Act as administrator and technical leader for operations; model procedural knowledge and quality-system compliance.
- Execute shop-floor activities in line with the business plan, CGMP conformance, and OSSCE.

Basic Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in operations or directly supporting a pharmaceutical manufacturing operation.
- Demonstrated leadership experience emphasizing respect for people.
- Ability to provide/receive feedback and create employee development plans.
- Basic computer skills (desktop software).
- Solid understanding of FDA guidelines and CGMP requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple requests.
- Strong technical aptitude; ability to train and mentor others.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (2-2-3 schedule).
- Ability to work overtime as required, especially during training.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship anticipated (e.g., H-1B or TN).

Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or technical field.
- Experience in facility/area start-up environments.
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems and electronic batch release.
- Root cause analysis and technical writing experience.
- Organizational and motivational skills.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.

Additional Information:
- May require short assignments in Indianapolis to build process knowledge, establish global contacts, and provide production support; may require short international travel (< 1 month).
- Ability to wear safety equipment and stand during shift work.
