Role Summary
As an Operations Supervisor on the 3rd shift, you will lead a team of manufacturing and packaging staff, drive production goals, maintain safety and quality standards, and partner with engineering and leadership to ensure efficient operations. You will coach and develop your team, foster an inclusive environment, and support capacity and process improvements to meet organizational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Supervises 20-40 manufacturing and packaging employees across multiple production lines or a manufacturing suite, assigns tasks, adjusts workloads to meet production goals, schedules and monitors training, and monitors production quality; troubleshoots and resolves problems.
- Provide high-quality support to the team and across the organization by building strong relationships and knowledge of policies, procedures, and resources.
- Promote and maintain a safe environment and culture for the team.
- Coach and develop the team resulting in increased trust, engagement and retention.
- Foster an inclusive environment that supports diversity and enables employees to bring their authentic selves to work.
- Test or evaluate process changes, oversee maintenance or installation projects, and collaborate with engineering staff to select or evaluate new equipment.
- Participate in capacity or budget planning, gather and evaluate information, and present recommendations to management.
- Support the PWS process, including using the RedZone tracking system to measure OEE.
- Complete time editing (sick/vacation) and approve payroll by due date to ensure timely payment.
- Handle disciplinary actions as needed, including documentation and communication with relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Required: Four years of production supervision experience; strong leadership, communication, performance management, and problem-solving skills; ability to provide work direction across multiple production areas.
- Preferred: Bachelorโs degree; experience in an FDA-regulated industry; excellent communication skills and sound judgment.
Education
- Bachelorโs degree preferred; in lieu of a degree, a minimum of four years of leadership/ Supervisory experience.
