Description Overview
- Operations Supervisor (Front-Line Obsession)
- Schedule: 2:00pm–10:30pm, Monday–Friday
- Salary starting at $85,000
Scope of the Role
- Supervise 20–40 Manufacturing and Packaging employees across multiple production lines/suites and shifts; assign tasks, adjust workloads to meet production goals, schedule and monitor training, monitor production quality, troubleshoot and resolve problems.
- Provide high-quality support by building relationships and knowledge of company policies, procedures, and resources.
- Support, practice, and lead a safe environment and culture.
- Coach and develop the team to increase trust, engagement, and retention.
- Foster an inclusive environment supporting diversity and authenticity.
- Test/evaluate process changes; recommend implementation/rejection.
- Supervise maintenance/installation projects; work with engineering on selecting/evaluating new equipment (capital and ancillary).
- Participate in capacity/budget planning; gather/evaluate information; make and present recommendations.
- Support the PWS process including RedZone tracking to measure OEE.
- Edit/approve payroll (including sick/vacation time) by due date.
- Perform disciplinary actions (including writing disciplinary letters and meeting with shop steward).
Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; or 4+ years of leadership experience in lieu of a degree.
- 4 years of production supervision experience.
- Strong leadership with communication, performance management, and problem-solving.
- Ability to direct work across multiple production areas.
- Previous experience in an FDA-regulated industry preferred.
- Excellent communication; sound judgment and decision-making.
