Operations Lead (Shop Floor Supervisor)

Role: Process Supervisor supporting pilot plant operations and GMP manufacturing at the MACS Center, a multi-modality drug substance facility in Rahway, NJ. Objectives include overseeing daily production activities, ensuring GMP, safety, and environmental compliance, and supporting facility startup, equipment validation, and process development. Responsibilities encompass supervising operations staff, managing process priorities, contributing to equipment design and qualification, and supporting other related pilot and prep lab facilities for small molecule and bioconjugate projects. Qualifications: bachelor's in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field plus 2+ years of process development or pilot plant experience; or high school diploma with 6+ years in similar environments. Skills include familiarity with process equipment, cGMP, GMP documentation, safety regulations, automation systems (DeltaV, PLC), and team leadership. Preferred experience includes GMP facility design, biologics or small molecule process development, containment systems, and utility systems. High-value biopharma specifics involve GMP manufacturing, potent compound containment, and support for small molecule and biologics projects across early development stages. Cross-functional collaboration involves process engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams, with approximately 10% travel. Work setup is primarily on-site with rotational shifts.
