Operational Excellence Leader: NASD

Role: Lead Operational Excellence in biopharma manufacturing, overseeing the build and sustainment of production systems for therapeutic oligonucleotides at GMP facilities. Responsibilities: execute comprehensive diagnostics, develop deployment roadmaps, establish tiered daily management systems, lead kaizen events to improve yield, cycle-time, and downstream recovery, and embed standardized work and governance routines. Drive continuous improvement projects linking operational metrics to business outcomes, leverage digital and analytics tools for real-time process monitoring, and lead value stream mapping to optimize batch lifecycle and release processes. Mentor site teams in Lean principles, structured problem-solving, and standard work deployment. Collaborate with quality and manufacturing leadership across multiple sites, ensuring transfer of ownership and sustainable improvements. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master’s in life sciences, chemical, or biochemical engineering; 10+ years GMP manufacturing experience, including 8+ years in Lean process accountability; proven success deploying production systems like Lean or DBS with measurable results. Preferred: Lean/Six Sigma certification, experience in biologics or pharmaceutical tech transfer, process validation, or new product introduction. High-Value: biologics, GMP, manufacturing, process improvement, digital tools, cross-site deployment, US-based with travel up to 50%. Work Setup: full-time, remote option, travel required.
