Operational Excellence Leader: NASD

Role: Operational Excellence Lead for biopharma manufacturing within Agilent’s Nucleic Acid Solutions Division, focusing on building and sustaining production systems for therapeutic oligonucleotides from fermentation through downstream purification. Responsibilities: deploy lean and continuous improvement methodologies across the full manufacturing value stream, lead kaizen events, develop standardized work, and implement visual management; drive performance metrics related to throughput, yield, cycle time, and quality; utilize shop-floor data systems and digital tools for real-time abnormality detection; mentor site teams in problem-solving and operational discipline; coordinate cross-site benchmarking and best practice sharing. Requirements: Bachelor’s or master’s in life sciences, engineering, or related field; 10+ years GMP manufacturing experience with at least 8+ years in lean process improvement; proven expertise in deploying and sustaining manufacturing systems such as Lean, TPS, or DBS; strong track record of delivering measurable operational improvements. Preferred: experience in biologics or pharmaceutical tech transfer, process validation, or new product introduction; certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or related methodologies.
