Operational Excellence Leader: NASD

Role: Operational Excellence Lead for Agilent’s Nucleic Acid Solutions Division, overseeing the build and sustainment of the production system across the entire Make value stream at Frederick and Boulder facilities. Objectives include deploying lean methodologies, building daily management routines, leading kaizen events, and translating site goals into operational practices. Responsibilities encompass diagnostics, strategy deployment, KPI management, digital integration, root-cause problem solving, and supporting tech transfer and new product introduction. The role involves coaching site teams and embedding standardized workflows for GMP biologics manufacturing. Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s in life sciences, engineering, or related field; 10+ years in GMP manufacturing with at least 8 years in Lean process accountability, especially in chemical, pharmaceutical, or biologics contexts. Deep expertise in process improvement, structured problem-solving, and value stream optimization is essential. Preferred: Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or TPS; extensive experience in biologics process validation, tech transfers, and complex regulated environments. High-Value: biologics / oligonucleotides, GMP, process optimization, GMP-regulated manufacturing, digital tools, and cross-site deployment in North America. Collaboration involves site leadership, quality, manufacturing, and external benchmarking. Work setup offers hybrid flexibility; travel is approximately 50% to the facilities and broader ATD footprint.
