Role: Lead the development and sustainability of the production system for Agilent's therapeutic oligonucleotide manufacturing, spanning fermentation through downstream recovery and release. Responsibilities include conducting rapid diagnostics, establishing tiered daily management, leading kaizen events to improve process yields and cycle times, and translating site objectives into floor-level priorities via strategy deployment. The role involves leveraging MES and data systems for real-time performance monitoring, driving root-cause analysis, supporting tech transfer and new product introduction, and coaching operations teams in lean methodologies. The focus is on delivering measurable improvements in throughput, quality, and cycle times within GMP-regulated environments. Requirements: Bachelor's or master's in life sciences, chemical, or biochemical engineering; 10+ years in GMP manufacturing with at least 8 years of lean process accountability; proven experience deploying operational systems like Lean, DBS, or Toyota Production System; strong track record of delivering operational results through transformation. Preferred: experience in biologics or pharmaceutical tech transfer, process validation, or biologics manufacturing, lean certifications (Six Sigma, TPS), and certification as a Danaher Business System practitioner. High-value: biologics, GMP, process performance improvement, tech transfer, large-scale biologic/oligonucleotide manufacturing, US-based with 50% travel. Work setup: full-time, remote options, US-based; travel to Colorado facilities required.
