Role Summary

As a member of Takeda Oncology, you will contribute to a bold vision to cure cancer and deliver your best work within the Oncology Sales team. You will report to the Regional Director and collaborate with key stakeholders to drive product strategy, access, and field execution.

Responsibilities

  • Implement overall marketing and brand strategy for targeting and deployment of resources to key customers
  • Formulate effective strategies to achieve sales goals and product positioning goals within target accounts
  • Provide on-label clinical data to influence appropriate use of assigned product
  • Initiate and develop business relationships with high level decision makers and other influential groups
  • Utilize account-specific targeted marketing materials to educate and address the needs of key stakeholders
  • Create account-specific business plans and strategies to gain access to key stakeholders
  • Provide real-time analysis and input on market conditions to Home Office colleagues for the development of targeted marketing strategies and materials
  • Focus on field execution and driving calls per day and reach to targets to increase sales performance
  • Apply conceptual and practical expertise to implement plans and achieve sales goals
  • Maintain knowledge in product knowledge, disease states, industry landscape, and organizational structure
  • Analyze data and prepare subject matter for business reviews
  • Act as a technical/functional subject matter resource and continue to acquire higher level skills
  • Complete accurate reporting including monthly territory action plan, expense reports, itinerary, inventory, speaker requests, and budget tracking
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and cross-functional partners
  • Utilize company resources prudently and in accordance with guidelines
  • Report all adverse events related to products in a timely, compliant manner
  • Maintain understanding of distribution and delivery systems for oral molecules and the interface with specialty pharmacy and in-office dispensing

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of demonstrated successful pharmaceutical experience
  • Required: Oncology, Rare disease, or specialty sales experience preferred
  • Required: Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Required: High comprehension of scientific knowledge and ability to communicate with medical professionals in a compliant manner
  • Required: Strong computer and technical skills and ability to analyze territory-specific data
  • Required: Maintain a valid driver’s license in good standing
  • Preferred: Oncology, rare disease, or specialty pharmaceutical experience
  • Preferred: Established rapport and relationships in geographic area
  • Preferred: Large account management experience with emphasis on major oncology practices, academic centers, and NCCN/NCI centers

Additional Requirements

  • Travel: Range 20-40% depending on territory
  • Training: Mandatory product training with examinations; non-exempt during training and overtime eligibility; transition to exempt status after training with eligibility for incentive programs
