Role Summary

Oncology Territory Manager, Solid Tumors โ€“ Omaha, NE. As a member of Takeda Oncology, contribute to a vision to cure cancer by delivering purpose-driven work within the Oncology Sales team. Report to the Regional Director and collaborate with key stakeholders to drive sales, product knowledge, and market strategy in designated territory.

Responsibilities

  • Implement overall marketing and brand strategy for targeting and deployment of resources to key customers
  • Formulate effective strategies to achieve sales goals and product positioning goals within target accounts
  • Provide on-label clinical data to influence appropriate use of assigned product
  • Initiate and develop business relationships with high level decision makers and other influential groups
  • Formulate strategies to effectively utilize account-specific targeted marketing materials to educate and address the needs of key stakeholders
  • Create account-specific business plans and strategies to appropriately gain access to key stakeholders
  • Provide real-time analysis and input on market conditions to Home Office colleagues for the development of targeted marketing strategies and materials
  • Focus on field execution and driving calls per day and reach to targets to increase sales performance
  • Apply conceptual and practical expertise in own functional/technical area to implement plans and achieve goals
  • Maintain a high degree of competence in product knowledge, disease states of coverage, and competitive landscape
  • Analyze data and prepare subject matter for business reviews
  • Act as a technical/functional subject matter resource for colleagues and customers
  • Complete accurate reporting and submit timely monthly territory action plan, expense reports, monthly itinerary, sample inventory, and other required documentation
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and cross-functional partners
  • Utilize company resources prudently in line with guidelines
  • Report all adverse events related to products in a timely, compliant manner
  • Maintain knowledge of distribution and delivery systems for oral molecules and the interface with specialty pharmacy and in-office dispensing

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelorโ€™s degree and 5+ years of demonstrated successful pharmaceutical experience
  • Required: Oncology, Rare disease, or specialty sales experience preferred; strong presentation and communication skills
  • Required: High comprehension of scientific knowledge and ability to communicate with medical professionals in a compliant manner
  • Required: Strong computer and technical skills and ability to navigate software to analyze territory data
  • Required: Maintain a valid driverโ€™s license in good standing
  • Preferred: Oncology, rare disease or specialty pharmaceutical experience; established rapport and relationships in geographic area; large account management experience with emphasis on key oncology practices, academic centers, and NCCN/NCI centers

Travel Requirements

  • Range from 20-40% travel depending on territory
  • Territory: Kansas + Nebraska

Additional Requirements

  • Training Requirements: Mandatory product training with examinations; non-exempt during training with overtime eligibility; post-training status transitions to exempt with eligibility for sales incentive programs
